Melksham Oak Community School, held a Year 8 STEM experience day on 12th March 2024.
Business insight sessions were organised for 219 students, who rotated through various activities; including building rockets, cars, and tremendous aerospace inventions.
The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and explore the exciting world of STEM. The business insight sessions provided valuable knowledge and inspiration, sparking curiosity and creativity among the young minds. The mentors from various esteemed organizations such as the Army, RAF, DEFRA, MOD, TESLA, RSGB, IOT, and volunteer AI experts shared their expertise, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
The success of the Year 8 STEM experience day at Melksham Oak Community School, demonstrated our ‘Unleashing Potential’ strategy in action and showed values of ‘collaboration’ and ‘empowerment’. It was a day filled with learning, discovery, and creative possibilities, inspiring students interested in future STEM related careers.
