Sixth formers from The Oak Sixth Form in Melksham, Wiltshire part of The White Horse Federation, are delighted to be celebrating their A level and vocational qualifications results today, having sat their exams in May and June.

To help ensure all students were as prepared as possible for their exams The Oak continued to provide engaging lessons for students right up until their final exam in each subject, quiet study sessions each morning in the final weeks leading into the exam season, a fun de-stress activity every Friday morning, and 1 to 1 pastoral or academic support meetings as needed.

Standout results include:

●   Euan Viveash with an A* in Maths and As in Physics and Chemistry going to study Maths and Statistics at Southampton University
●   Tia Williamson with a double award of Distinction*/Distinction in BTEC Musical Theatre, B in History, and an A in Criminology and going on to study Acting at the highly reputable Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts
●   Charlie Butter with an A in Maths, B in Physics, and a C in Computer Science who will be looking for an engineering degree apprenticeship
●   Alex McLeod with an A in Psychology, B in Biology, and C in Chemistry. Alex will now be spending the year working and volunteering in hospitals, before deciding his next steps
●   Freya Jefferies with an A* in Psychology, A in Sociology, and a B in English Literature going to study Psychology at University of Bristol
●   Chloe Burbidge with a B in Art, a C in Sociology, and a Merit in Creative Digital Media Production going to study Sociology at Northampton University. Chloe will be the first in her family to go to university.
